We went and saw the cows the second week of July when Kevin's sister and her family were visiting.  It was very hot and there were lots of flies but the kids had fun.

Isak also loves playing in the cottonseed the best and showed Quinn.
We also had a baby shower for Kevin's sister Lindsey while she was visiting in July. She is having her first baby, a little girl, and we are all pretty excited for her. We played a couple games, had a crepe bar and then opened presents.

Her mom got her this sweet diaper bag and Stephanie and I were both coveting it.
Afterwards Lucy decided to push Quinn around in the baby pram for a while and Isak tried to tie all the balloons to Quinn's binkie to make it float away. I love my kids.

Quinn-3 1/2 months

Quinn at just over three months. He is such a sweet baby with an easy smile and adores his brother and sisters. But especially his mom. He still wakes up a few times a night but takes a bottle and a pacifier wonderfully and we love him to pieces.

Rest of the 4th of July

The afternoon of the Fourth we spent time laying low at home then went out to Kevin's parents and had a bbq and set off fireworks. This was the first year in a long time that we had a legitimate fireworks stand and Kevin's dad gave the kids some money to buy some cool fireworks.
The kids loved being able to pick out what they wanted and we had some pretty neat stuff. Edyn was pretty much terrified of all the fireworks and watched from inside the house.

The rest of the kids thought it was great and took turns deciding what to set off next.

When it got dark we headed into town for the city fireworks.  The kids wore their light up necklaces and ate licorice and had a great time. We have a pretty good show for being such a little town.

4th of July Parade!

Every 4th of July our town has a small parade down Main Street. There is always lots of candy thrown and a variety of other fun things to stare at. However, it also tends to be very loud. Which is why Edyn spend most of it curled up on Kevin, terrified of the sirens and horns.

I entered Isak and Lucy to ride their bikes in the kiddie portion of the parade. They decorated them and then got to ride them down Main Street.  The plan was for them to finish their route then return and sit with us. However, Lucy was complaining quite loudly to a friend of ours that she was "Running out of oxygen!" so she quit a little early and came back and sat with us. Poor Lucy. She's not one for endurance sports. Kevin has always said she will probably be our cheerleader!
